I’m still trying to figure out how the city of Southport actually got its name. In fact there are actually two cities in the state of New York named Southport. The other one is on Long Island and just as you’d it is on the water and is indeed a port. This Southport on the other hand is located at the bottom of the state on the boarder with Pennsylvania, and is not close to any discernable major waterway. But all of this aside, Southport is a pretty good place to live and an even better place to invest in if you are looking to make a dent in the real estate market.

Probably the best thing about living in Southport is that the city is close to some of the best outdoor activities that the state of New York has to offer. On the fringe of the Catskills you can go fishing, hunting, hiking and camping all in the area. You’ll be amazed by all of the wonderful amenities that will be at your finger tips if you choose to make the big decision to head out of the city and find a home on the fringes of American culture.

Of course besides the great outdoor opportunities there are other great reasons to move to Southport New York, and chief among them is the low cost of living here. This includes real estate where you can get a home for a fraction of the cost of a similar house in a city with a slightly higher population. So make the bold decision to head to Southport and live the life that you have always dreamed of living.
