Fuquay-Varina (pronounced “few-kway vah-ree-na”) is a town born from the union of the two communities of Fuquay and Varina in 1963. The area had been well known as the source of mineral springs with supposed healing properties. The springs became a popular destination for many affluent people looking to treat their illnesses or prolong their life. Today, there is more to Fuquay-Varina than those mineral springs. The area has been rewarded for its strategic location, which has allowed many diverse business enterprises to call the area home. This has resulted in Fuquay-Varina as being one of the most prosperous areas in the state.

Located in the heart of North Carolina in Wake County, Fuquay Varina is part of the Greater Raleigh-Cary Metropolitan Area. The capitol of Raleigh is a 25 minute drive away; the famed Research Triangle Park and Raleigh-Durham International Airport is 35 minutes away; Durham and Fayetteville is a 45 minute trip; and Wilmington and Charlotte are 2 and 3 hours away respectively. The estimated population of Fuquay Varina is 9,000 people.
