The Battle of King’s Mountain was a critical battle during the American Revolution. On that fateful October 7th day in 1780, many historical experts consider the victory over the Loyalists by the Patriots as the turning point towards overall victory and the achievement of independence of this young nation. The site of the battle became King’s Mountain National Military Park, and the closest city to this memorable location is the City of Kings Mountain.
