Situated in southwestern Ohio in Montgomery County surrounded by rolling hills and valleys, with a mix of farms, is the quaint little City of Clayton. Clayton is located about 20 miles from the Indiana border and about 10 miles from Dayton. The city was incorporated in 1998, and has a population of approximately 15,000 people.

Education is extremely important in Clayton, as it houses numerous elementary and middle schools, and two highly-rated high schools. Teachers from Clayton have gained a reputation for excellence in both the private and the public sector. For post-secondary learning, the Univerity of Dayton, Wright State University, and Sinclair Community College are found in Dayton.

For recreational opportunities, there is the serene town of Vandalia, near Clayton. The area has many picnic areas, fishing and hiking opportunities. Horseback riding is available at the Old National Trail Riding Center near the Englewood Reserve.

Clayton is the perfect place to raise a family. The city is popular among first time homebuyers since homes here are a great value. For such a piece of pristine beauty, you would expect to spend much more, but the town has managed to keep the prices lower than the national average.
