Situated just 6 miles east of Cleveland, Ohio, the City of East Cleveland is suburban community of Cleveland, located in Cuyahoga County near Lake Erie. Incorporated in 1911, East Cleveland has a population of approximately 29,000 people.

A large electrical lighting research and production complex here is in one of the country's first industrial parks. Communications equipment and processed food also are produced in the city.
