Eaton, Ohio

Eaton is located in southwestern Ohio Preble County (of which it is the county seat) 15 miles west of Dayton. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 7,827, an increase of 431 since 1990. Outdoor recreation is nearby in the form of Hueston Woods State Park located about 10 miles south-southwest of town and Sycamore State Park 10 miles to the northeast. Higher education is about 15 miles to the south-southwest at Oxford's Miami University.
