Broken Arrow Real Estate Information Many of those seeing Broken Arrow for the first time are often surprised and disappointed -- they thought they'd be greeted by Native Americans in leather and moccasins, living in teepees or tribal lodges. Nothing could be further from reality.
There are many natives who live in the area but they only make up one group in this ethnically diverse city.
Or, they figured that the town had something to do with the Movie starring John Travolta and Christian Slater and NFL great Howie long, in one of his finest performances as an 'actor'. This is also not true.
Much of the city limits is within Tulsa County, but a great deal of the yet undeveloped land is in Wagoner County to the east. The City has adequate water supplies to serve this growing population and new industries.
Broken Arrow has also been long noted as a home to some world-famous artists, starting with Ralph Blane ("Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas") and now Kristen Chenowith of Broadway fame. Our high school bands annually carry home top honors from state and national competitions. Our community theatre program was honored in 1996 as Oklahoma's best. Tulsa's Performing Arts Center is only 15 minutes away, with Gilcrease Museum only five minutes more.
