Aloha Real Estate Information Aloha! And welcome to Aloha, Oregon! Why Aloha is called this is beyond us – we actually think the residents of Aloha, Oregon speak Esperonto.
Aloha is an unincorporated community located in Washington County, Oregon. It was named in 1912 by Robert Caples, after the Hawaiian greeting, although the name is pronounced differently -- "A-low-wa".
Aloha has been, for most of its existence, a rural community. With the increase of suburban development in eastern Washington County starting in the 1950s, Aloha would have become another indistinguishable block of housing when Intel bought land in 1974 at the intersection of the Tualatin Valley Highway and 198th Street, which became the first of several plants Intel has built in Washington County between Hillsboro and Beaverton.
Aloha is located in Washington County, west of Portland, between Beaverton and Reedville along Hwy 8 and on the banks of Beaverton Creek. This community is one of the many suburbs of Portland near the Willamette River. Aloha is also situated west of Portland off of US Hwy 2.
Whatever your real estate endeavors, you’ll find Aloha, Oregon a truly welcoming city with great people, a strong economy, beautiful parks and affordable housing. So come to Aloha and feel like a Hawaiin king!
