Cedar Oregon is one of the first frontier cities in the United States. Located not too far from Bend , Cedar is the small town with a big heart. Although the population is probably only around 7,000 people. It feels like a lot more because there is always so much to do in the downtown. In fact on a summer’s day people can be seen walking down the street, eating ice cream and shopping during all hours of the day. Then during the winter months (and it can get pretty cold here) you can walk down these same streets and find people huddled together in small restaurants and bars, sipping wine and coffee and toasting to each others health. I’m sure you get the idea of what life in Cedar is like.

Another great thing about Cedar is the isolation you will find here. During the winter months you can enjoy all different kinds of outdoor activities, like skiing and skating. But best of all there are few crowds to contend with so you can your family can have that together time that you are surely wanting. Then, during the summer you can go hiking or camping in anyone of the state parks that are a short drive away from Cedar. And if you or any members of your family like horses there are some very good ranches in the area that are always looking for customers to stable their horses of even come down for an afternoon of riding.
