Situated in northwestern Oregon with the western boundary being the Pacific Ocean and encompassing expansive lush woodlands and forests is the idyllic setting that is Lincoln County. The population of Lincoln County is approximately 50,000 people. Prominent communities include Newport (county seat), Lincoln City, Astoria, Yachats, Toledo, Depoe Bay, and Otis.

Principal industries of the county are lumber, fishing, agriculture and tourism. Newport with Astoria is one of the two major fishing ports of Oregon, both ranking in the top twenty of fishing ports in the U.S. Its port averaged an incredible 48,000 tonnes of fish landed between 1997-2000. With their striking natural surroundings, Lincoln County's tourism is on the rise.

You can't ask for better place than Lincoln County if you love the outdoors. Besides soaking in the natural splendor, there is plenty to do here. For great skiing, Mt. Bachelor or Mt. Hood Ski Resorts are excellent. Hunters and anglers seek game in the wilderness, state parks, and the various rivers and creeks. The Pacific Ocean and Yaquina Bay provide pristine beaches in the county, where you can go fishing, crabbing, tide pooling, beach walking, whale watching, clamming, and boating.
