Just look at Mapleton on a map and you’ll see that it is almost completely encompassed by the forest, thus making it a premier city in the region.

And hey, you don’t even need to be an outdoor enthusiast to really get the most out of Suislaw National Forest. Even if you just live in the city you can still reap the benefits of its beauty. Simply by buying a home in this small but very affordable place you have put yourself in a position where you are almost completely isolated from the nasty effects of urban living. It is as close to living in a national forest as you can get, without even breaking the law.
