The Town of Mount Lebanon is located in Allegheny County, in the state of Pennsylvania. It is a suburb of Pittsburgh, being only just six miles from downtown Pittsburgh. The population of this six-square mile community is approximately 34,000 people.

The Mt. Lebanon economy has traditionally been one of the strongest and most stable in southwestern Pennsylvania. The municipality is home to approximately 450 businesses whose investments in our community create a unique urban/suburban mix here in Pittsburgh’s South Hills region. The ability to attract new businesses to Mt. Lebanon is enhanced by its location, as it is a gateway to the South Hills from northern communities and the City of Pittsburgh. Employment and other economic indicators are consistently among the best in the region and higher than both the state and county average.

Mount Lebanon's education system is a great source of pride for its residents. Mt. Lebanon has an excellent school system with a national Blue Ribbon high school. The town's public library is recognized as one of the best in the state.

Plenty of recreational activites are readilu available for Mount Lebanon's residents, as they can enjoy 15 public parks and parklets, a recreation complex with swimming, tennis and ice skating, and a 9-hole public golf course. Additionally, Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands is just over an hour, offering facilities for hiking, biking, skiing and canoeing.
