Woonsocket Rhode Island is a natural kind of community. In the heart of New England, Woonsocket is everything that living near the northwest coast should be. With fresh sea air, good, honest, liberal, open-minded people and all the haddock you can eat.

Woonsocket kind of lives a double life. During the summer it is a prime vacation destination for people all over the northwest…especially Manhattan. They come for the rustic charm of days gone by. They check out the shops, go camping and wander around the city with their children who always seem to have some of surgery stuff hanging off their face.

In the fall they come to see the changing color of the leaves and marvel at the spectacular difference in seasons…something they don’t necessarily get living on their concrete island.

Then in the winter, the city all but shuts down. A few people stay to experience rustic winter living, but most people head home. The remaining permanent residents of Woonsocket get to relax and enjoy their time off. Having squirreled away enough money from the summer, they get to hibernate next to a warm fire and read a good book.

And did I mention that they have some of the most magnificent pinecones.
