Oak Ridge Tennessee…if you are an American history buff, or even a physics student you’ll know exactly what Oak Ridge is famous for. If you don’t know right away I’ll tell you. OAk Ridge is the birthplace of the bomb.

It was the middle of the Second World War and many of Europe’s best scientists had fled Nazi Germany to the United States. With them, they brought the deadly secret of the Hydrogen Bomb and the neutron Bomb…otherwise known as the Atomic Bomb.

Almost immediately, the United States put these scientists to create a bomb of their own that they thought might bring the war to a speedy conclusion. What happened at Oak Ridge would forever change the face of the world and send the world into a new age…the nuclear age.

That said, people still come to Oak Ridge to see the place where this all happened, and therefore the population there has seen a spike in the amount of traffic coming there.
