Beaumont Real Estate Information Beaumont Texas proudly proclaims that it is on the right side of Texas…whatever that means. It probably doesn’t mean that it is on the right side of the Texas economy, which Beaumont has been a victim of ever since the early 1980’s.
With a steep dependence on the petroleum and chemicals industry Beaumont was hit hard as many plants shut down and the city was thrust into an economic tailspin. This has lasted to the present day, but it has not dampened the spirits of this industrious and industrial city.
They have realized that their unique position of the gulf coast is not only good for industry, but also good for tourism. They have cleaned up a little bit of the giant mess left by the petrochemical plants and they have invited people to their world-class beaches to enjoy a vacation.
The only problem is the beaches aren’t clean enough. If you are looking to invest in real estate in Texas you should probably want to put a little pressure on local city officials to clean up their environmental record and allow the beaches to blossom to their full potential.
Or…If you are looking to do business there, you’ll always find plenty of hard working people who’ll be willing to toil in whatever factory you would like to establish. So don’t dismiss Beaumont right away…there’s a seed in that pot of dirt.
