Dallas is big and sturdy, like most things built in Texas. By the numbers, it's in the top 10 biggest cities in America and the biggest metropolitan areas in the State of Texas. Situated in Northern Texas near Fort Worth, the total population of the combined area is over 5 million.

Dallas was founded in 1841. It is steeped in a rich history of arts. Back in 1855 a joint venture of European artists sought to create a Utopia called La Reunion. Even today, the vistages of that art movement can still be found in Dallas' theater and film scene.

Since the oil industry migrated to Houston, Dallas has focused on commerce, banking, and technology since the 80's. Now, the city is home to a number of important corporations including: Texas Instruments, Pizza Hut, Mary Kay, Kinko's, Kimberly-Clark, CompUSA, Blockbuster, Greyhound, and 7-Eleven!

Dallas has a vibrant night life in its beautiful downtown core. The weather is fairly diverse, but can be loosely considered humid and sub-tropical. There's only an average of 30 inches of rain per year here.
