The city of Robinson was born when the industrious John and Levi Robinson brothers purchased land in this area in the early 1850’s. The brothers quickly became the most successful farmers in the vast area behind their work ethic and adaptability. Soon, many other family members followed the brothers into town, establishing a settlement that would soon bear their name.

The Robinson’s industriousness and dedication to their work would soon become the trademark character of the current community of Robinson. Now home to over 8,000 people, the people of Robinson represent all that is great about Texas and the nation as a whole. Many of them came here with nothing, but with a little hard work, found themselves passing on their success to the next generations. Robinson truly epitomizes everything about the American Dream.

Located in central Texas, the city of Robinson is part of McLennan County. The closest major city is Waco, which is about 10 miles north from Robinson. The Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area is 80 miles north, Austin is 100 miles to the south, Houston is 160 miles southeast, and San Antonio is 200 miles south.

An ideal place to raise a family, Robinson is home to many excellent schools with the internationally-recognized Baylor University just outside the city limits. Many business and employment opportunities are available in town or nearby Waco.
