Texas is a big state; the biggest in the Union. With plenty of land there are many towns and cities that attract a lot of migration each year. The town of Santa Fe isn’t on many of the destination lists of many Texans, or those from other states, however this small town, tucked away in the South of the state, plays a prominent role in Galveston County. Santa Fe, Texas enjoys a privileged location as it is close to three major urban areas: Houston, Galveston and La Marque.

Not a thriving town by any stretch of the imagination, Santa Fe has only begun to blossom over the past few decades. Its growth has been fundamentally linked with the rise of towns nearby and Santa Fe is mostly a base for those who work in Houston and the other employment centers nearby. Although there are some business’s in the town, offering limited employment the bulk of residents commute the short distance work.

Santa Fe is close to the Mexican border and this provides opportunities for residents to enjoy the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico, as well as other recreational facilities. The town has its own recreational opportunities and golf is a major hobby for many of the towns’ folk.

Good schooling and good neighborhoods help make Santa Fe ideal for those with families. Pleasant weather all year round is also another benefit that comes with living in this corner of Texas.
