Situated in northcentral region in the state of Texas, is the City of Stephenville, the county seat of Erath County. Stephenville is located 62 miles southwest of Fort Worth, 100 miles southwest of Dallas, and 207 miles north of San Antonio. It has a current population of approximately 16,000 people.<./p>

Self-designated the Cowboy Capital of the World, Stephenville lives up to the billing as a leader in the dairy industry with accounts of approximately $140 million. Not limited to the dairy industry, five of the 10 leading employers are manufacturing firms with the remainder in education, retail, and health care services.

The city's fine education infrastructure makes any of Stephenville's residents swell with proud. Their award-winning public school system is one of the best in the state. Located in the heart of Stephenville is Tarleton State University. Founded in 1899 as John Tarleton College, the college became a part of the Texas A&M University System, gaining official status as a university in 1973. The school's enrollment dramatically increases every year, a credit to the school's popularity.
