Situated in central Vermont along the western edge of Windsor County is the idyllic rural community of Plymouth. This small town has an estimated population of 600 people, and is located about 40 miles south from the state capitol of Montpellier, 60 miles west from the New Hampshire capitol of Concord, and 80 miles northeast from the New York capitol of Albany.

Although small is size, Plymouth is big in history and heritage. Plymouth was originally settled in the late 18th century and the community thrived thanks to its abundance of natural resources. These resources included fertile farming land, and mineral deposits including marble, iron, and gold. Today, the community supports a strong tourism industry.

Plymouth may be best known for its most famous son, the 30th President of the United States, Calvin Coolidge. Coolidge has been commerated by having a historical site in his name which features the room where he was born - at the back of his father's store. There is also the Calvin Coolidge State Park, and the Coolidge Reservoir.

Other attractions found in and around Plymouth include Camp Plymouth State Park, Lake Ninevah, Echo Lake, and Lake Rescue. Historical sites in the town include Plymouth Cheese Factory and Plymouth Notch.
