While technically in Virginia the city of Ashburn is so close to other states and other major US cities you’ll feel like you are in the center of attention when you move here. While the city of Ashburn itself can best be described as small, it probably only has a population of around 7,000 people, the heart of this community is very big and people here really know how to live the American dream.

I would have to say, having visited the city several times this year that the best thing about Ashburn are the people who live there. Sure it is a beautiful place with a nice downtown and lots of shops and restaurants, it isn’t until you actually meet the people who live there that you get a sense of why the people who live here usually end up staying here. There is a sense of tradition in Ashburn that keeps people grounded.

But another thing that keeps people interested in Ashburn is the extraordinarily low cost of living. You can buy a home here for a fraction of the price of the same home in one of the major cities nearby. Ashburn has some of the best deals in all of Virginia and you can really let loose with your disposable income after you realize that your mortgage payments are so low.
