Situated in southern Wisconsin on the Rock River a few miles upstream from Lake Koshkonong, about 20 miles east of the state capital of Madison, is the City of Fort Atkinson. Located in Jefferson County, Fort Atkinson is a thriving community of 13,000 people.

Fort Atkinson is fast becoming a commercial and industrial center. Money Magazine named Fort Atkinson One of America's Hottest Little Boomtowns. Fort Atkinson is home to Nasco Science, a leading supplier of science educational products, Jones Dairy Farm, and Spacesaver. The tourism industry is growing with the city's largest employer being the Fireside Dinner Theatre, a self-described motorcoach attraction, which draws tens of thousands of visitors each year.

There is plenty of things to do and see in Fort Atkinson. Recreational activities are plentiful on the tranquil Lake Koshkonong. A visit to the historic Fort and the Indian Mounds makes for an interesting time. The Hoard Historic Museum and National Dairy Shrine Museums will teach about the area's history.
