Grafton is one of Wisconsin’s oldest settlements but today it is a vibrant community of industry, commercial business, culture and recreation. From the first settler, Timothy Wooden, to the newest resident, Grafton is a place where hard-work and dedication to progress has made it what it is.

The City of Grafton was recently named the first community to win the “Wisconsin Award for Municipal Excellence”. Grafton is a balanced community and its residents take pride in all they have built.

So why wouldn’t you want to be part of Grafton? Aside from its economic and progressive appeal, the city features some of the most unique architecture around. Inspired by German architecture of the early to mid-1800’s, this fine community still features many homes, government buildings and religious buildings in that style. Many of these historic buildings have since become tourist attractions, but others are still used today. The great “Golden Clusters” – three historic towers side by side – are Grafton’s most recognized structures.
