Wisconsin is often the punchline in jokes but all kidding aside, Wisconsin's a pretty cool place to live. With its collection of small cities that revel in its friendly atmosphere and safe neighbourhoods, the Badger State has one of the highest quality of life standards in the country. Also, the show That 70's Show has shown how much fun you can have in small town Wisconsin.

The county seat of Manitowoc County, the city of Manitowoc (pronounced Ma-nih-toe-wok') is one of Wisconsin's oldest cities. Meaning "home of the great spirit", this Wisconsin city is located at the mouth of the Manitowoc River. Dividing the town of Manitowoc into two noncontiguous sections, one north and one south of the city, the city of Manitowoc is home to over 34,000 residents.

Incorporated as a city on March 12, 1870, Manitowoc is the place where the first wooden sailing vessel was crafted. Home to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum and the landing site of a piece of Sputnik IV, Manitowoc has been the site of some of the most colorful events of American history.

However, this charming little city only aspires to provide its residents with a comfortable lifestyle. With its gorgeous landscape as a natural advantage, Manitowoc has built up a reputation as an excellent place to raise a family. Valuing strong morals and a friendly atmosphere, Manitowoc is a great place for anybody to live.
