Laramie, Wyoming, a town of approximately 25,000 residents is located 45 miles west of Cheyenne at an elevation of 7,200 feet. Laramie is home to the University of Wyoming and the Wyoming Cowboys, one of the greatest sports teams in the midwest.

The University of Wyoming is the state's only provider of baccalaureate and graduate education, research, and outreach services.

The main campus is located in Laramie, approximately two hours north of Denver. The university also maintains the UW/Casper College Center, nine outreach education centers across Wyoming, and Cooperative Extension Service centers in each of the state's 23 counties and on the Wind River Indian Reservation.
