For years it seemed that the esteem of home realtors had been plummeting in the eyes of the public, but recent news is showing that this may all be changing.
The survey found that more consumers than ever are likely to select a Realtor to help them buy or sell a home, an increase of 8 percent in the past year. Preference for Realtors has increased from 58 percent in 2000 to 72 percent today.
This marks the second year in a row, people’s approval rating of realtors in general has gone up, and many claim that this has everything to do with a strong ad campaign aimed at repairing some of the damage that has often stained the good work that realtors do.
Others feel that the public opinion of realtors has gone up because of recent technological innovations. The proliferation of the Internet has made it much easier for realtors and clients to find each other and find the most suitable listing.
Email and messaging services have also made it easy for clients and realtors to keep in touch with each other, thus elimination phone tag situations and drastically decreasing many misunderstandings.
