Good Schools equals Good Home Appreciation

According to the National Association of Realtors, a good school district is an excellent indicator of good home appreciation. Many home buyers will choose their home because it's located in a neighborhood that offers the best and most convenient features for households to thrive; for instance - close proximity to schools, jobs, friends and family. But after proximity issues are addressed, many potential buyers are using good schools/school districts as a factor in purchasing a house, even if they don't have any school-aged children to use those schools.

It is believed that good schools help foster lifestyles associated with high levels of attainment at the individual, household and community level. A good education system not only builds strong, broad-based, individual character and the potential for choice along the career path, it also generates an attractive base of skilled workers who help build strong economic communities. It's a cycle that helps perpetuate solid schools systems. Understandably, studies have shown a strong correlation between high levels of good education and higher levels of home appreciation.
