Standard logic would indicate that while everything else slows down around the holiday season, the real estate market should as well. Well, this is not entirely true, and realizing this could make you a better realtor.
While it is true that fewer houses are sold during the holidays, the sales that occur are usually faster, and easier. Some people just don’t have the time to look for a new house, and if they really need one they will use their holiday time to shop. These are the true serious buyers and they will be easy clients to work with.
As a realtor this works in your advantage. Also, many other realtors tend to slack off a bit during the holiday season and if you are looking to get a leg up in the market, you can easily pick up the slack they leave behind.
