The property I want was just deemed REO yesterday, 4/28. I want to make an offer before it is listed on the general mls. How can I do this? Chase Manhattan is the owner.

You do not owe your agent anything; if they find a property for you, then it's good business to go through them for that property, however, if you find property on your own, feel free to go at it on your own. You're not obligated.
