If after walk thro, my sister gives keys to seller 2 days PRIOR to closing, do I still have LEGAL right to be in the house to finish packing [prior to closing]? I am the sister of the deceased owner of the house, which would have, by default, been returned to Dad as owner; but my sister insisted house HAD TO BE SOLD prior to our brother's estate being settled, which is contrary to what lawyer said. If she turns keys over prior to closing (she's the administrator; I couldn't be because Illinois law prohibits out-of-staters from administering), could I say she mishandled the estate, since Dad & I have to both sign off before estate is closed? Sorry if this is so confusing, but I've never sold a house, & she's trying very hard for some selfish reason not to have me come home one more time to pack last minute things I told her to leave for me. Thanks in advance. Donna D
